Itinerary Highlights Meetup at the Three Kings Monument: Begin your journey at the historic center of the city. Your expert cultural guide will introduce you to the rich cultural foundation of Chiang Mai before heading into the artisan districts. The Ancient Art of Lacquerware at Nantharam: Explore the quiet, historic alleys of the Nantharam community, renowned for traditional Lanna lacquerware. Enjoy an exclusive visit to the home of Mae Pratheung, one of the very last master artisans who still practices the meticulous, multi-step ancient lacquer technique entirely by hand. Sacred Silverware & Wat Muen San: Stroll over to Wualai Road, Chiang Mai’s historic silversmith district established during the reign of King Kawila. Visit Wat Muen San to admire its breathtaking art gallery, magnificently adorned with intricate, hand-embossed silver and aluminum chasing. Living Heritage at Wualai Silp: Experience the rhythmic, timeless sound of metal-hammering. We will visit local families who still practice hand-carving in their traditional homes, including the renowned Wualai Silp workshop, to see firsthand how raw metal is transformed into masterpieces. Return Journey: Reflect on the inspiring encounters and stories of the local artisans as we comfortably transfer you back to the starting point.
